Biography:
Dr. Phoebe Wamalwa is a Pediatric Endocrinologist, holding degrees in Medicine and Surgery, Pediatrics and Child Health, and a Master of Science in Pediatrics and Adolescent Endocrinology (University of Nairobi). She is currently pursuing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Global Health at Yale university. As President of PESK, Dr. Wamalwa has led national efforts in developing guidelines and training programs for Type 1 Diabetes care in children and adolescents. Her research interests include diabetes in youth with a focus on advancing global health equity. She serves on the advisory board of the Lancet-Regional Africa journal.
